What do you think of Queen Elizabeth Park?

Local people are being invited to comment on one of Grantham’s most nature-friendly green spaces.

South Kesteven District Council is inviting opinions and comments on Queen Elizabeth Park in its annual consultation which opens today.

Running until 13 August, the survey asks people for their views on what they do when they are in the park, how often they visit and if they are satisfied with what’s currently on offer.

Respondents can also suggest any improvements they would like to see.

Cllr Paul Stokes, SKDC Deputy Leader and Cabinet member for Leisure and Culture said: “Queen Elizabeth Park is an oasis set aside for nature in the middle of town.

“With areas of wetland and a wildflower meadow, the park is a haven for wildlife with a variety of habitats. It’s very much Grantham’s country park, much-loved by locals and visitors alike and with acres of green space for people to enjoy.

“The Council is keen to find out what you think of Queen Elizabeth Park. Please use this opportunity to have your say. Your views will help us measure what people think of it and inform any improvements we make going forward.”
