A high-level business event is to showcase the value of ex-military skills and how to recruit service leavers.
Mission Business is on 25 June at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks in Grantham.
The free half day event with lunch includes speakers delivering top level business advice and development planning alongside a strong veterans’ recruitment message.
Attendees will also hear about the benefits of military Reservist sign up from within their own workforce, potentially accessing a training and upskilling programme estimated at being worth £10,000 to employers.
Mission Business, organised as part of national Armed Forces Week, is open to companies and organisations across Lincolnshire and offers inspiring presentations on branding and leadership.
The Lincolnshire Defence & Security Cluster will outline how businesses can access defence budgets.
Veterans now running successful businesses of their own will share their journeys from deployment to employment.
Serving military will also illustrate the range of talents and skills they offer to any organisation on leaving service.
The event is being run by South Kesteven District Council in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and local consultancy Business Unfinished.
Cllr Bridget Ley, SKDC Armed Forces Champion said: “We are committed to supporting local economies and equally committed to supporting our ex-military community across Lincolnshire.
“This event is a golden opportunity to bring both sides together for mutual benefit.”
