Statement by South Kesteven District Council Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Virginia Moran.
South Kesteven District Council has today made the decision to sell the 12 properties it owns at Lumby's Terrace, Stamford.
Lumby’s Terrace is a Grade II listed building from the early to mid-1800s and sits within a Conservation Area. All 12 SKDC properties are now vacant.
Proceeds from the sale will be reinvested into replacement housing which will be offered to the people who need them most - those on the Council’s Housing Register.
As Lumby's Terrace comprises listed buildings, specific consent would be required to complete renovation work to reflect their unique heritage.
They will be marketed in the next few weeks by Willow & Stone Properties, who have wide experience in marketing both Stamford and assets in Conservation Areas: www.willowandstoneproperties.co.uk
