Lucky Lottery tickets scoop cash prizes

Two lucky LotterySK ticketholders have each scooped £250 in the latest council community lottery weekly draw.

One is a supporter of the Gonerby Youth Football Club and the other supports Grantham Museum.

Their wins came on the eve of June’s Grand Draw launch with the chance to win either a Nintendo Switch 2 Mega Bundle, £1,000 in cash or planting 1,000 trees.

Gonerby Youth Football Club is one of eight sports clubs currently receiving income from South Kesteven District Council’s online lottery, prompting SKDC to encourage others to sign up.

SKDC Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture Paul Stokes said: “When you look at how many teams that sports clubs run, there are lots of family members who can help generate club income by buying tickets.

“Fifty pence from every £1 ticket goes to the club. That soon mounts up and is so valuable to fund new equipment, team strips or whatever the club needs.

“Altogether we are helping more than 25 youth groups, including scouts, guides and school parent teacher groups. They all have the same opportunity to engage families in their fund-raising.

“It’s incredibly easy to sign up to LotterySK with lots of helpful information to help sell tickets and a handy QR code. The extra inventive is the weekly chance of supporters winning £25,000!”

Another 10p from each ticket sale goes to the SK Community Fund, meaning that 60% of each ticket sale goes to support good causes in South Kesteven. Each ticket has a one in 50 chance of winning.

To buy tickets, or register as a good cause, go to www.lotterysk.co.uk where there is also information and advice for groups wanting help on how to encourage ticket sales.
