Council tenants are about to benefit from a series of housing 'roadshows' where they can meet staff close to where they live, speak to them about issues and get advice or support.
It's part of a plan to improve tenant engagement and keep tenants and residents of South Kesteven District Council better informed and up-to-date.
Cllr Virginia Moran, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “With around 5,900 properties to manage, SKDC is proud to be one of the area’s largest social landlords. We recognise that each household has unique needs, and we are working hard to provide the right services for them.
“SKDC is holding five community events which are open to tenants, leaseholders and local residents where they can meet the people behind the services, learn more about what we do, and share their views in person.
“As a responsible social landlord, SKDC is dedicated to supporting our tenants by ensuring they feel comfortable engaging with our staff, who are always here to help.”
The events will take place at:
- Grantham – Earlesfield Community Centre, Wednesday 27th August, 10am-2.30pm
- Bourne – Manor Court Community Centre, Thursday 4th September, 10am-2.30pm
- Stamford – Edmonds Community Centre, Wednesday 10th September, 10am-2.30pm
- Market Deeping – Deepings Community Centre, Thursday 25th September, 10am-2.30pm
- Grantham – Canterbury Close Community Centre, Wednesday, 1st October, 1pm-6pm
Cllr Moran added: “Housing is more than bricks and mortar, it’s about people, places, and working together. By getting out into the community, we hope to strengthen the relationship between tenants, residents and our housing teams.
“Whether visitors have questions, feedback, or just want to find out more, we’d love to see them.”
At the roadshows, our Housing teams – including Repairs, Tenancy Services, Sheltered Housing, Housing Options and Homelessness – will be on hand to share information about how SKDC allocates homes, manages repairs, and provides support.
