Calling all voluntary organisations and social enterprises

South Kesteven District Council is funding specialist training and mentoring to voluntary groups and social enterprises.

Charities, community interest groups and non-for-profit companies will be eligible for the support which is funded via South Kesteven’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The training is designed to help the organisations to grow through marketing and communication, effective leadership, digital working, as well as bid writing.

Council Leader Cllr Ashley Baxter said: “Charities and not-for-profit organisations are the beating heart of our communities. We want them to thrive because their success has a direct benefit to our residents. This scheme will offer the practical support and advice they need.”

The scheme is known as an ‘Advanced Social Economy Incubator’ and the support package will be run by Harlaxton College. It will be delivered online and at Harlaxton Manor and will include expert-led workshops, mentoring and networking sessions, between now and February 2026.

Dr Wray Irwin, the programme director said: “This programme is about helping organisations move beyond survival, giving them the tools, confidence, and connections to thrive, grow, and create lasting impact.

“We are grateful to South Kesteven District Council for their continued support with this innovative programme and for investing in it with UKSPF funding.”
