Grantham Passage Day Centre

The Grantham Passage provide hot food, shelter, company and signposts to agencies for help.  The Grantham Passage Day Centre operates an ''open door'' policy during its sessions and extra help can be given through Grantham Poverty Concern (in emergency need).  Opening times are:

  • Monday & Fridays - Finkin Street Methodist Church - 10am to 12 noon

  • Tuesdays - Baptist Church, Wharf Road - 6pm to 7pm

  • Wednesdays & Saturdays - St Marys, opposite ASDA - 10am to 11:30am

  • Thursdays - St Wulframs Church Hall - 12pm to 1:30pm

  • Sundays - 7th Day Adventist Church, Dudley Road - 9:30am to 11:30am

 

Food Banks

There are four food banks in the District of South Kesteven. Foodbanks are referral only so residents will need to go through an agency to receive a voucher.  The details are :

Grantham:

Free School Meals

Children in low-income households may be entitled to free school meals and schools can benefit from 'pupil premium' to support extra curricular activities.  You can call on 01 522 782030 or visit www.lincolnshire.gov.uk

 

Healthy Start Scheme

Pre-paid card for pregnant women and parents of children under 4 to help buy milk, fruit and vegetables.  You can call on 0300 330 7010 or visit www.healthystart.nhs.uk

 

Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

The Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) is a Government fund ed programme that provides reception to year 11 pupils who receive benefits-related free school meals in Lincolnshire access to free healthy meals and activities over the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays.

Lincolnshire Food Partnership (LFP)

Lincolnshire has a range of community support charities, churches and organisations that can help with emergency food. Eligibility and referral processes vary. Second Helpings in Stamford

Second Helpings is a project run in partnership with Stamford Methodist Church and the whole community.  It is a pay what you feel cafĂ© and community larder.  They ar e open Tuesday to Saturday for people to collect the food that has been donated by local business and also provide a 3-course meal on a Saturday which is open to anyone in the community:
