Withdrawal of Grantham Area Action Plan

On the 7January 2013 the council resolved to withdraw the Grantham Area Action Plan (GAAP).

The council has decided to cease work on preparing the GAAP and instead move to bring forward a new comprehensive Local Plan for South Kesteven.

The GAAP was prepared to provide detailed policies and site allocations for the town of Grantham.  This plan was being prepared alongside the Site Allocation and Policies Development Plan Document.

The decision to withdraw was made under the provisions of Section 22(1) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended) and provides for a local planning authority to withdraw a local development document at any time up to its adoption.

Grantham Town Centre Masterplan

The Grantham Town Centre Masterplan was produced in 2002 and reviewed in 2007.

We consulted extensively with key stakeholders during the drafting of the Masterplan and undertook wider public consultation between August and October 2007. The comments we received during this time were used to help shape the Grantham Area Action Plan (GAAP).
