Street parking and permits

A Residents' Parking Scheme is an area of streets, or it can be individual streets, where the parking of motor vehicles is managed to help residents park. They are provided in areas where vehicles not belonging to residents would otherwise make this difficult.

Permits can be purchased for a £50 annual fee by calling 01476 40 64 04 during office hours.

  • residents must provide their V5 vehicle form plus a household utility bill to confirm their eligibility for the scheme
  • businesses need to provide a copy of their business rates bill and a business utility bill

Visitor vouchers

The scheme now has visitor vouchers available for eligible residents to buy.

The scratchcard style vouchers allow resident and business permit holders, as well as non-permit holders, to buy passes for visitors to use in on-street parking bays within the scheme boundaries.

Each book of 10 passes costs £15 and residents can buy up to 10 books a year.

They are available in person at Stamford's Maiden Lane office or for permit holders by calling 01476 40 64 04.

  • permit holders will need to confirm their address when purchasing passes
  • non-permit holders must collect in person from the office with proof of address
