Newton takes stage for premiere
Isaac Newton will be re-born on stage at Grantham Guildhall in a special premiere from multi-award-winning solo artist, writer, actor and director Jack Klaff.
His is a touching and entertaining piece of solo art that delivers a warts-and-all portrait of Newton, his struggle in pursuit of new truths and the sorcery and mysticism which fascinated him outside of science.
Klaff, who has appeared in Star Wars, Sherlock Holmes and Midsomer Murders, tells tales of Newton's towering genius from an array of characters - all set in and around Grantham.
Speaking at the London launch of Gravity Fields he said: "I shall become this man who was so brave and driven that he was prepared to push a bodkin into his own eye to better understand how it worked."
