Bourne Community Access Point
Information about our development project which aims to create a focal point for council services in Bourne including the Library and SKDC's customer services.
Improvement work started at the Abbey Road end of Bourne Corn Exchange this week with more structural changes to follow over the coming weeks and months.
SKDC's leader, Cllr Linda Neal said: "We have started the works on schedule and this is the beginning of what I believe is a great project for Bourne.
"Once works have been completed residents will be able to access town, district and county council services all under one roof in the heart of the town."
The works are scheduled to run for 32 weeks and contractor Burmor Construction has been appointed to carry out the work.
Over the next few months updates about the project will be posted here along with images of how work is progressing.
Take a look at the PDF plans below which show what the ground floor of the Corn Exchange will look like when the project completes in early 2013.
