Details 'Rapid Response' Engineering Challenge is a Civil Engineering activity day for colleges and secondary schools in the South Kesteven District Council catchment area. This activity will be aimed at up to 70 year 11 students Kesteven District Council area. The activity will help to develop strong teamwork skills through a hands-on, creative and time pressured task. What will Students do? Students will work in teams to plan a relief programme based on the events following a true-life natural disaster and the effects that this has had on food supplies, drinking water and shelter. Students will design and build shelters, systems to carry water and bridges to transport food and supplies to the affected area. Following completion of the challenge each group will have the opportunity to feedback on how they think they coped with the challenge and what they will take away with them from the day.
