Notice of Standards Committee's Findings
Following all investigations and hearings in relation to a district or parish councillor or co-opted member allegedly failing to comply with the Code of Conduct, The Standards Committee must arrange for a summary of the decision including the reasons for the decision.
All summaries of decisions will be published on this page. They will also be published in a local newspaper unless the Standards Committee finds no evidence to support a breach of the Code of Conduct, in which case the councillor or co-opted member concerned is entitled to decide whether a summary of the decision will be published.
The summary notice will state:
- A summary of the complaint.
- The relevant section(s) of the Code of Conduct.
- The finding of the Standards Committee.
- The sanctions imposed by the Standards Committee, if any.
