Stamford has delightful mix of retailing in its town centre with a good selection of high street multi-nationals and a range of independent retailers covering fashion, IT, speciality food stores, antiques, crafts and curios. In addition, it has a thriving twice-weekly street market.

The town has a strong economy with a large number of large employers, for example Cummins International, Tarmac Precast Concrete and Bowman & Sons. With new companies specialising in wireless broadband delivery, bioscience for agriculture and renewable energy, the vibrant economy is far more diverse than ten years ago, with a greater range of opportunities.

It boasts its own college of further education, offering an extensive programme of courses to individuals and employers. Plus there are excellent primary and high schools and the town has an above average number of graduates.

Stamford has a wide range of dining and leisure opportunities; from dining in elegant surroundings or exquisite teashops, to cafes and fast-food take-aways. The town's George Hotel, one of the finest coaching inns in the country, with its own business centre, is perfect for business meetings and small conferences. Within easy walking distances of the town is Burghley House, home of the Burghley Horse Trials.

With new sites and premises in the pipeline at various stages of development, Stamford is obviously an opportunity not to be missed and is an excellent choice for investment rewards.
