Re-join our garden waste service for 2013/14
Re-join now for 2013/14 and find out everything you need to know about our Green Waste service.
We collect garden waste from householders who join our green wheeled bin service.
As an existing customer the charge for collection is £25 for a single wheeled bin and £10 for each additional bin annually. The collection period will be from 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2014. Once you have paid you will receive alternate weekly collections all year round apart from December, January and February when collections will be once a month, due to the lack of green waste at this time of the year.
New customers joining the scheme for the first time can have a new green wheeled bin along with collection in the first year for £35.
Households can have up to 4 bins, and the scheme runs throughout the district.
If you are already a member of the scheme and would like to know your collection day click here for the collection day finder. You can also download the collection calendar in PDF format by selecting the one you want at the bottom of this page.
On collection day:
Please place your green bin at the edge of your property nearest the roadside where it can be seen clearly by 7.30 a.m. on your collection day. (Find out the day of your green bin collection.)
Please make sure the lid is closed fully. Our lifting equipment can damage the bins if the lid isn't shut properly. Try not to overfill the bin - we might be unable to get everything out or it might become too heavy to lift. We run an assisted collection service for people with disabilities.
