Welcome to the Better and Warmer Homes Campaign!
We aim to help residents in the private sector (owner occupiers and tenants of private landlords) improve living conditions in their homes. We do this by offering financial assistance in the form of grants or loans and by offering financial assistance in the form of grants or loans and by referring residents onto other available assistance.
We work closely with Warm Front, the Energy Suppliers, and the Energy Saving Trust throughout the District. By working in partnership with other agencies we can help residents gain access to the grant funding and advice that is available to help them heat their homes in an affordable way.

How can you benefit from the Better and Warmer Homes Campaign?
You do not need to be in receipt of a qualifying benefit to take advantage of the Better and Warmer Homes Campaign.
- Energy efficiency advice is freely available to everyone
- There are discounted schemes available for loft and cavity wall insulation
- The Empty Homes fund is not a means-tested grant
