Households facing financial hardship across Lincolnshire can access support with essentials this winter!
A new community-based Household Support Fund is available to people across the County, who find themselves in the most need.
District Councils across Lincolnshire have been allocated a share of Government funding to support vulnerable households over the winter months. It will help to meet the monthly costs such as energy bills, food, clothing and housing costs in exceptional circumstances.
The Household Support Fund can be accessed by professional referral only, this is to ensure the wide support needs of households are met. They will identify people in need of support, make the necessary checks and then complete a referral form, which will be submitted to the resident's district council.
Payments will be made to utility suppliers and vouchers purchased for residents through web-based platform Charis Grants. More information can be found here: www.charisgrants.com
The value of the grant for each type of support have been agreed by Districts and will be shared with the trusted partners.
Residents can ask for an application to be made on their behalf from referral partners which include:
- Citizens Advice South Lincs
- Carers First
- Wellbeing Lincs
- Lincolnshire YMCA
- Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Services
- NHS Neighbourhood Teams
- Centrepoint Outreach
If you are struggling please contact one of our referral partners who will help you apply for this fund.
South Kesteven District Council will aim to process the application within 5 working days, and your voucher will be issued to you using your preferred contact method.
