Support for Businesses

South Kesteven District Council and InvestSK are continuing to look at ways in which we can support businesses that are facing hardship as a result of the pandemic.

The Government has provided South Kesteven District Council with £2,699,652 to provide business rates relief for 2021/22.  This is for businesses affected by Covid-19, but who were not eligible for previous relief schemes.

South Kesteven District Council have developed a local scheme, and a letter was issued to those businesses identified as having a property in our area which may be eligible for this Non-Domestic rates relief.

For those businesses who have responded, the Council are currently assessing the information and will be writing to you within the next 2 weeks with the outcome of the decision.

The aim of the scheme is to provide Business Rates Relief therefore reducing the chargeable amount for the financial year 2021/22 only and is for those who have been adversely affected by the pandemic and have been unable to adequately adapt to the impact.
