Reporting workplace health and safety problems
Healthy Communities shares responsibility for enforcing workplace health and safety laws with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
We are responsible for investigating hazards or dangerous practices in certain work premises, including:
- Shops
- Warehouses
- Offices
- Hotels
- Catering
- Sports and leisure facilities
- Consumer services (laundrettes, hairdressers, tyre and exhaust fitters etc.)
- Residential care homes
- Churches
If you have witnessed something dangerous where you work at or a business premises you have visited and have been unable to resolve the situation with the company involved you can report this to us to investigate. We will contact you as soon as possible (within 3 working days maximum) and keep you informed of our investigation.
