Regulation 16 consultation
The proposed Deepings Neighbourhood Development Plan has been produced by the Deepings First Neighbourhood Plan group on behalf of Deeping St James Parish Council and Market Deeping Town Council in consultation with residents, businesses, landowners and other stakeholder organisations. The Neighbourhood Development Plan covers the both the Civil Parishes of Market Deeping and Deeping St James and seeks to guide the future development within the identified Neighbourhood area until 2036. The Plan includes a vision, set of objectives and a series of neighbourhood wide policies.
The Deepings First Neighbourhood Plan Group submitted the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan and supporting evidence to South Kesteven District Council on the 8th June 2020.
In accordance with the amended Town and Country Planning Act 1990, the District Council has made an initial assessment of the Neighbourhood Plan and the supporting documents and is satisfied that these comply with the specified criteria.
The Deepings Neighbourhood Plan Public Hearing
The public hearing session was held on Tuesday 8th December 2020
Inspector Andrew Ashcroft had visited the neighbourhood area, read the submitted documents and the representations made to the Plan. He had also prepared a clarification note and read the responses to that note. In this context, he was satisfied that the majority of the Plan could be examined by way of written representations.
However, in accordance with paragraph 9(3) of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Inspector Ashcroft has concluded that it in order to ensure an adequate examination of the Plan it is necessary to hold a hearing on the proposed designation of Mill Field (LGS6) as a local green space (Policy DNP14).
The full request for the hearing, including the detailed session notes can be found in the document below;
