The streets of Grantham will be transformed in June when the town holds its first Portuguese and English Festival of Culture offering traditional food and drink, music, dance, crafts and friendship.
The two-day event will take place at St Peter's Hill opening at 10am each day and closing at 10pm on 22 June and 8pm on 23 June.
The event is hosted by South Kesteven District Council and its economic growth company, InvestSK, with PT Connections - a community interest company which supports Portuguese nationals in the UK.
The music stage will host acts from both countries. Star solo performers, Rui Bandeira and Monica Sintra, will be supported by fellow musicians, Joana Lobo Anta and Natalia Cerqueira, as well as local bands Chasing Embers, 23 Reasons, Alex Cavan and Naturally Sourced. Swing band Hi Rollers and 1940s act Peter Wayne will also take to the main stage.
Portuguese retailers will pitch up alongside English stalls, with traditional food, wine and beer on sale over both days. As well as the entertainment and refreshments, there will be children's fairground rides, face painting, family fun and evening attractions.
