SKDC bin and bag collections during the festive period

There will be changes to household waste collections for all residents during the festive period in South Kesteven.

Those who would normally have their black bin and pink bag collections on Monday 24 December will instead have their collection on Saturday 22 December.

People who usually have a Tuesday collection will next week have it on Monday (Christmas Eve).

There will be no waste collections on Christmas Day or Boxing Day (Tuesday or Wednesday) and then the rest of the week's collections will be a day later than usual.

Silver bin/clear bag collection is as normal on New Year's Eve (December 31).

There will be no bins/bags collected on New Year's Day (January 1), so all households for the rest of that week should leave their wheelie bins/bags out one day later.

Everything returns to normal from 7 January, 2019.

Please put your bins out on the edge of your property by 7.30am on the morning of collection, with bin handles facing the road.

Householders can also put their real Christmas trees out for recycling with their green bin on the day the collection operates on their street.

Those who fill their bins or bags can take any excess waste to Household Waste and Recycling Centres in Mowbeck Way, Grantham, or at Bourne Industrial Estate.

People can check their collection dates by visiting southkesteven.gov.uk/bincollectionday
