A popular community event celebrating the patron saint of England will be held at a new venue.
The St George's Day event will take place from 10am to 4pm in Grantham Market Place on Saturday, April 21, alongside the regular market.
The event, organised by Grantham Carnival and Events Group with support from South Kesteven District Council, was previously held on St Peter's Hill Green.
A host of activities and entertainment is planned.
St George and his dragon will mingle with visitors, additional traders will join the regular market, there will be a fun-fair, street entertainers and Morris dancing displays.
There will be marquees in the Market Place - one housing Ye Olde Tea Shoppe offering tea, coffee and cake, and another full of craft traders.
A third will be home to entertainment provided by: 11.30am, Beth Creswell School of Dance; 1pm, The Rock Choir; 2pm, Voxicology; 3pm, Grantham School of Dance.
Cllr Nick Robins, SKDC's Cabinet Member for Retail and Visitor Economy, said: "We decided to move the event from St Peters Hill and incorporate it into our Saturday market to encourage as many people as possible, particularly families, to come into the town and enjoy everything that is going on. It has every ingredient to provide first-class entertainment for all ages."
The annual Grantham Scout and Guide St George's Day parade and service will take place the following day (Sunday, April 22).
The parade will start at the bus station from 2pm and march to St Wulfram's Church for the service at 3pm.
