Recycling collections following severe weather

As a result of the severe weather during w/c 26 February, South Kesteven District Council was unable to collect household recycling across the district, due to the extremely icy conditions.

Our teams were, instead, redeployed to help clear snow and grit pavements in high footfall areas, including approaches to bus stations, GPs' surgeries and so on. SKDC teams also volunteered to continue this work during the weekend (3/4 March) and man our out-of-hours contact centre to help advise and support residents and tenants.

Residents are asked to retain their recycling and re-present it on their next collection date, along with any additional recycling, which should be presented in clear or white bags (not black bin bags, please). All outstanding recycling will have been collected by Friday 16 March.

The District Council team would like to apologise for any inconvenience during the severe weather and thank you for your patience while normal service is resumed.
