An afternoon session at Stoke Rochford Hall on 18 July will illustrate how to access the two million pound funding pot of EU LEADER grant finance still available.
LEADER projects must either support micro and small businesses and farm diversification, boost rural tourism, increase farm or forestry productivity, provide rural services or support cultural and heritage activities.
Projects must create jobs, develop a new or existing business, improve productivity and efficiency, increase tourism visitors or improve rural services and communities.
For South Kesteven District Council, Cabinet member for economy and development Cllr Mike King said: "This is a great opportunity to access the first European funding this district has been offered and we are encouraging as many community groups and local businesses as possible to come along and find out more.
"The grant funding is available right across the district, including Stamford, in fact everywhere except Grantham. Our rural economy, heritage, culture and sense of community are all vital to the well being of South Kesteven.
"We are doing all we can to ensure they grow along with the rest of our growth agenda."
Businesses, farmers, community groups and parish councils are amongst those who can apply for funding. Projects can receive grants of between 40% - 80% of their costs, depending on the type of project and their status.
In 2015, £1.53m of grant funding was allocated to the Kestevens LEADER fund (including South Kesteven) and £1.41m was allocated to the Wash Fens LEADER fund (including the south of the district).
The July event will also have information on the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), where there are currently three calls open in Greater Lincolnshire where grant funding will support rural tourism infrastructure, food processing and business development activity.
