Switch and save with Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme

Energy saving may not be top of the list of priorities for householders in the summer months - but it's still a great time to see if you could save hundreds of pounds on your energy bills!

Lincolnshire Energy Switch

All residents and businesses have to do is take a few minutes to register for the Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme and see if they could save huge amounts.

Once the registration period is complete, energy suppliers will be invited to compete with their best offers at an auction and offer letters stating the potential savings will be then sent to your home or email address. You could be saving hundreds of pounds on your bills by the end of the year.

There is no obligation for householders to accept their personal offers, but if they do it's easy and straightforward and the new provider will take care of the whole process.

If you're not able to register online, you can do so offline at your local council or by calling 0800 048 8439.

Households in the county that have already switched have collectively saved over £750,000 between them to date.

Anyone can register, whether you rent your home or own it and all that is required is your annual gas or electricity statement or bills covering the last 12 months to hand.

It's open to all energy users, whether you are on dual fuel, electricity only, pay monthly or quarterly or have a prepayment meter.

The scheme is organised by Boston Borough Council, City of Lincoln Council, East Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, South Kesteven District Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council and is administered by the UK's leading collective switching expert, iChoosr Ltd.

Karen Lond, lead officer for the councils said: "As we enjoy the English summertime, cold winter nights seem a long way away but now is the perfect time to think about how much you pay to heat your home.

"Register by October 11 with the Lincolnshire Energy Switch and see if you can save hundreds of pounds on your future energy bills."
