To consult local people on District Council policies, and things that matter to people in the locality. They are also a forum for discussion between the three tiers of local government – county, district and parish councils.
Yes they do. Members of the Public may attend and submit written questions to the forum. There is a public open forum at the start of each meeting of up to an hour when members of the public can ask questions on any topic of concern, subject to a time limit of three minutes.
The Assemblies met in different locations in their area, usually in the evening.
They were established and are administered by South Kesteven District Council. (SKDC) The lead officer is Paul Morrison (paul.morrison@southkesteven.gov.uk or 01476 406512)
No but their minutes are fed into South Kesteven District Council’s decision making process via the Engagement Development and Scrutiny Panel (DSP).
No, the cost of the meetings is borne by SKDC.
