Food Hygiene Star Awards
Results of food hygiene inspections at restaurants, cafes and public houses etc can now be viewed online. Food businesses are given a rating ranging from 0 stars (major improvement required) to 5 stars (excellent). The number of stars awarded depends upon hygiene standards at the time of the inspection, including
- cleanliness
- structural condition
- compliance with regulations
- the inspectors confidence in food systems and management
Star awards issued from the 1st January 2006 are available, in time all food outlets in South Kesteven will have their hygiene rating posted online.
