Community Views Survey
The district authorities in Lincolnshire, together with Lincolnshire County Council are doing a quick survey specifically on council services across the county. This is to help better understand which services are most used, most important and how satisfied residents are with them. It will also tell us who is not using our services and where certain groups are over or under represented. This will help us meet the needs of Lincolnshire communities and will help inform our Corporate Equality Scheme.
We would be really grateful if you could complete this very quick survey if you live in Lincolnshire.

Recycling consultation
We have seen a fantastic take-up of our kerbside recycling scheme over the last year with well over 25,000 tonnes of waste being redirected from landfill for recycling and composting. Do you think we still need recycling banks which are based at village halls, car parks, schools and car parks of retail outlets? Click here to take part.
Housing strategy for Lincolnshire
The draft housing strategy is now available for consultation. View the press release for more information.
Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA)
Earlier this year, South Kesteven District Council invited land owners across the district to identify sites under their ownership that they thought might be suitable for housing at some point in the future. All of the sites have now been assessed and a document called the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) was produced.
This process is part of the background evidence of the emerging Local Development Framework. The identification of sites does not guarantee any development or future planning permission.

Formerly known as local area assemblies (LAAs), they were redesignated local forums in June 2006. There is now greater emphasis on involving the public than there had been with the LAAs, this is in reponse to public demand and operational experience. Local forum meetings will generally commence at 7.00pm and be limited to two hours wherever possible, although the chairman will have discretion to extend the meeting if necessary. There will be presentations but these will be limited to a maximum of three per meeting, preferably two, on topics relevant to the area. Thre will be a question and answer session after each presentation.
All meetings commence at 7:00 pm.
